The Bulls Masters Youth Cup is under two weeks away with the best junior Regional cricketers heading to Cairns for the 2023 carnival. The event will take on a different format this year, with the T20 games axed due to the extreme heat in the tropical North. Instead the Youth Cup will be played in the 50 over format from Monday the 11th of December until the final on Thursday the 14th of December (the final is 35 overs due to transport deadlines).
The Sunshine Coast Scorchers won last year’s final against South East Queensland Stormers in extraordinary circumstances with the game finishing in a tie and needing to go to a super over. Eventually the Scorchers won in the third super over to claim their second Youth Cup title in a row.
