CNW Electrical Wholesale has been a sponsor and supporter of the Bulls Masters since day one back in 2010 and the relationship between us has never been stronger. Both CNW and the Bulls Masters have a strong connection with Regional Queensland so we teamed up to head West for their electrical trade show tour.
The tour began in Toowoomba where Bulls Masters representatives, Nathan Reardon and Luke Feldman ran a motivational talk and cricket clinic at Harristown State School. This was an optional lunchtime clinic so it was great to see so many kids show up to make use of the opportunity to learn from some Queensland legends.
CNW Electrical Wholesale embark on their Regional tour with sales reps from some of their most trusted suppliers of goods. These companies get the opportunity to take their products, especially anything new and exciting out to the tradesmen and women in some of the more remote parts of our state. We even crossed the border into Mungindi!
The trade shows were set up in Goondiwindi, St George, Charleville and Roma but the roadshow made sure not to miss out anyone in between who wanted to see the suppliers. We stopped in Mungindi, Bollon, Cunnamulla, Nindigully and Mitchell as we wound our way along the Outback roads in between the major stops we had planned.
Nathan Reardon and Luke Feldman had skills clinics lined up for the kids at St George State School and in the Charleville State School nets for anyone who wanted to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. This is important work for the Bulls Masters to get the game of cricket into the Regional areas and inspire the kids to strive for excellence. Parents drove their kids into the clinic from surrounding towns such as Tambo which is over two hours drive away.
The tour was a huge success for all involved. CNW Electrical Branch Manager, Darryl Harrison was glowing about the impact of the trade show at its conclusion.
“It’s been a great week, all the suppliers have gotten on superbly, It’s definitely been a success. These sort of trade shows out here provide for the customer who can’t walk into a wholesaler and see this sort of stuff everyday”.
The trade shows were well attended by the customers who got to hear from Nathan Reardon and Luke Feldman at the conclusion of the night. Reardon and Feldman spoke about the Bulls Masters and their careers before fielding some questions from the audience.
A big highlight from the suppliers in the roadshow was the impromptu cricket games that they got to play with these former greats of the game. On the side of the road in the dusty red dirt on the way to Cunnamulla was the first game of cricket that proved to be the perfect driving break. The next game was on the slightly greener pastures at the Mitchell Weir.
