What other professional sports organisation can say that a retired players group from their team sponsors them? We’ll wait…
That’s exactly what the Bulls Masters have done. After a successful union in the 2018/19 season, the Bulls Masters are back to be the ultimate supporters of the current playing group from Queensland Cricket that are following in their footsteps. The Bulls Masters will sponsor both the Queensland Bulls and the Queensland Fire for their assault on the Sheffield Shield and the One Day competitions.
Bulls Masters Chairman, Ian Healy was excited at the announcement today, “We think it’s unique that the former players from Queensland Cricket are supporting the current ones, I’m not sure whether that has ever happened before in sport”.
“We can’t do it without all of our great supporters and we hope all of our sponsors enjoy this relationship with the current playing group of Queensland Cricket as well”, Healy said.
Current Queensland Bulls captain, Jimmy Pierson thinks Queensland are the envy of Australian Cricket, “We do it really well up here in Queensland were the former players look after the present players and the future players”.
The Queensland Bulls begin the Marsh One-Day Cup on the 22nd of September against the NSW Blues at Allan Border Field in their throw-back 1989 playing kits.
